The house

The name comes from a painter

Fernand Léger has a museum of his own in Biot. Ferni owes him its name, and the line printed on the cover of the menu: « Il faut vivre dans l'intensité, non pas jour par jour, mais heure par heure. »

An Antibes family, a room drawn for it

The Bensimon family, originally from Nice, has been settled in Antibes for more than thirty years. La Plage Keller and Le César are already theirs. Ferni is their restaurant in the heart of the old town, on place des Martyrs de la Résistance.

The interior is by the Cochet Païs practice, in the Art deco style: wood, gilded brass, velvet and terrazzo, in warm colours and textures, over a black and white marble-effect floor. Some hundred and sixty covers between the room and the terrace.

The big sunny terrace looks onto the square. The restaurant sits in the new Marenda-Lacan quarter, and the underground La Poste car park gives easy access to it.

The charcoal oven and the Antibes catch

The fish comes from the fishermen of Antibes, the produce is fresh, local and seasonal, and the meat goes through the charcoal oven: ember cooking that brings back the flavours of a wood fire.
